NINE RESEARCHERS FROM THE ECOBAS RESEARCH CENTER IN THE RANKING OF THE TOP 5,000 OF THE MOST OUTSTANDING SPANISH WOMEN SCIENTISTS
The Spanish Council for Scientific Research (CSIC) has just published at the beginning of June its first ranking of the 5,000 most outstanding Spanish and foreign female scientists who carry out their research work in Spanish organizations. This ranking, including all scientific fields, was made from the metrics collected in the Google Scholar database of the public personal profiles of the researchers.
ECOBAS has no fewer than nine female researchers in this ranking. The first is our scientific director, María Loureiro, Professor of Economics at USC, with an H index of 42. The next ECOBAS researcher in the ranking is Coral Del Río, Professor at the University of Vigo, with an H index of 29, followed by Sara Fernández, from the University of Santiago de Compostela, with an H index of 26. Next, Cristina Calvo Porral and Isabel Novo Corti, both from the University of A Coruña (UDC), with H-indexes of 25 and 22, respectively, closely followed by Isabel Neira from USC and Olga Alonso from UVigo with a H-index 21; and finally, Belén Fernández-Feijóo, from UVigo, and Marta Rey, from UDC, both with an H-index of 20.
This data is a good example of the scientific excellence of the Center and, in particular, of the impact of our researchers.
