GOOD GOVERNANCE AND ACCOUNTABILITY

ECOBAS’s work is guided by the principles of good governance in relation to administration and accountability, both in the public sphere and internally:
  • a) Competence and ability as fundamental merits in personnel selection and promotion (OTM-R principles)
  • b) Innovation and openness to change
  • c) Responsible, transparent and ethical conduct
  • d) Fair conduct regarding lessons, representation and participation in governing bodies
  • e) Efficiency and effectiveness in the management of public resources and application of the principles of responsible finance
  • f) Sustainability and long-term planning

GOVERNING COUNCIL

It is the highest governing body of the Centre and unites the research and knowledge transfer interests of the three Galician Universities. Its functions include approving the appointment of the Director of the Centre, the Strategic Plan and its modifications, budget proposal and programming,  annual reports and reporting to the Governing Councils of the Universities.

SCIENCE AND INNOVATION COMMITTEE

Directs the main lines of development of the Centre’s scientific plan, supervises and validates the Research Agenda and proposes actions regarding  R&D&I system, internal calls, evaluation of candidates in the recruitment processes of research staff, etc.
