9th Atlantic Workshop on Energy and Environmental Economics starts at the Illa da Toxa

This is the 9th edition of this event, and several specialists on economics and environment from several countries are joining.

During the conferences of today, Thursday June 23rd, and tomorrow, Friday 24th, the 9th edition of the Atlantic Workshop on Energy and Environmental Economics (AWEEE) is being held at the Illa da Toxa. The event gathers more than fifty international experts in energy and environmental economics, who will share the results obtained in their research in these fields.

This edition, which should have been held in 2020 but had to be cancelled due to the pandemic, has returned, like in previous editions, led by Economics for Energy, a private research center specialized in the economic analysis of energy issues. In the organizing committee are two of the ECOBAS researchers, Xavier Labandeira and María Loureiro. Both highlight the importance of the activities included in the program, with top-level and academically significant interventions such as those of Natalia Fabra and Lucas Bretschger. These two panels, along with the round table ‘The Future of climate and Energy Policies’, can be enjoyed live virtually through the UVigo TV channel. You can find the information to follow the broadcasts in this link.
