18-05-2021
On May 27th the CIM and ECOBAS, research centers of the University of Vigo, together with the Foundation for Fisheries and Shellfish (FUNDAMAR) will hold the meeting ‘Research and responsible innovation in the ecosystem of R & D + i of Galicia. Practical example in the marine field’, which will be attended by the Regional Minister of Employment and Equality, María Jesús Lorenzana; the Vice Chancellor of Research of the University of Vigo, Belén Rubio, the president of FUNDAMAR, Javier Touza; and the director of CETMAR, Paloma Rueda.
The event will serve to publicize the agreement signed by the three entities, with the aim of promoting collaboration for the implementation of joint projects and activities based on the need to reduce the gap between the scientific community and all social agents, from the public to the administration, including the business and industrial sector, and the social economy in the marine field. This is the premise on which the so-called Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) is based, a concept that will be discussed by Anxo Moreira, R&D technician of the International Projects Office of the UVigo, and the ECOBAS researcher, Mario Pansera, an expert in this field who has recently joined the same entity thanks to one of the prestigious Starting Grants of the European Research Council (ERC).
The meeting can be followed live from 12.30h and open through UVigo TV at the following link using the student access password: Pa2GvXmF .
