Researcher Gustavo Bergantiños, new member of the ECOBAS Scientific-Executive Committee
The transfer of Professor Carlos Gradín to Helsinki to join UNU-WIDER, a research center of the United Nations University, leaves an empty seat in the ECOBAS Scientific-Executive Committee. Gustavo Bergantiños, who, as Gradín, belongs to the ECOSOT group, has been elected to occupy this seat.
Bergantiños is a Full Professor in the Department of Statistics and Operative Research of the University of Vigo, and his research activity is focused on game theory, more specifically on the distribution of costs or profits in operational research problems. His long research experience, supported by more than 14 projects as principal investigator funded in competitive calls, more than 50 articles published in JCR-indexed journals and his outstanding participation in important journals, councils and societies make him a valuable asset for this ECOBAS Committee.
