Held in A Toxa the IX Annual Meeting of the Economic Forum of Galicia
Last week took place in A Toxa Island the annual meeting of the Economic Forum of Galicia. The event was held on Thursday 12nd and Friday 13rd, and joined together experts from different fields to discuss important current issues, with a program structured into four thematic blocks.
On Thursday morning, the State Delegate in the Consortium of the Free Trade Zone of Vigo, Teresa Pedrosa, presented a report about the size of Galician companies, based on the data provided by the Ardan studios. The round table was moderated by the researcher Alberto Gago, and also included the comments of Xosé H. Vázquez, both belonging to the REDE group of ECOBAS. In the afternoon it was the turn of Santiago Lago, researcher of the GEN group and director of the Economic Forum, who put on the table the analysis of the regional financing reform.
On Friday’s agenda, the debate focused on the restructuring of the Spanish banking sector and the rail-port relations and logistics platforms of Galicia facing the challenges of the Atlantic Corridor, with presentations of Joaquín Maudos (Ivie and University of Valencia), Fernando Gonzalez Laxe (UDC) and Víctor Nogueira (Grupo Nogar).
