ECOBAS and Campus do Mar start a joint cycle of research seminars related to fishery

Dissemination is one of the essential pillars of ECOBAS and for this reason, the Group joins Campus do Mar, to start a cycle of seminars with a common theme, fishery and the marine environment, which will be addressed from different points of view, such as economics or ecological and environmental management.

The initiative is led by Elena Ojea, Campus do Mar researcher and holder of a Starting Grant from the European Research Council, and by several researchers from the ECOBAS Groups “ECOSOT” and “ERENEA”. The seminars will be held at the School of Economics and Business Administration of the Campus of Vigo monthly, at the minimum, and the presentations will last 30 minutes, followed by a time of discussion. These seminars will be carried out by speakers from different fields and with different degrees of experience, from students of doctoral programs, who are especially encouraged to participate to showcase their work, to well established senior researchers.

The activity is aimed at students, professors, researchers and any other profile interested in the subject, from to the University of Vigo or other institutions, and opens this Thursday, November 16th, with the intervention of Eduardo Sánchez Llamas, from the University of Alicante.

The announcement of these seminars will be made from Campus do Mar and ECOBAS platforms. You can subscribe to our distribution list at the following link if you want to receive alerts.
