Conference: ANTÓN COSTAS. ‘Building a new social contract. Five proposals’

Professor of Economic Policy and President of the Observatory of Analysis and Evaluation of Public Policies of the UB, he is a columnist for the newspapers El País, La Vanguardia and El Periódico de Cataluña, and his opinions also appear frequently in other written and audiovisual media. Through his articles and lectures, he participates actively in the public debate about the current economic and social problems.

He just published Un nuevo contrato social para que España funcione (Peninsula, 2017). Other recent books, written in collaboration with Xosé Carlos Arias, are: La nueva piel del capitalismo (Galaxia Gutemberg, 2016) or La Torre de la arrogancia. Políticas y Mercados después de la tormenta (Ariel-Noema 2nd ed. 2012)

He chaired and was part of different committees of experts to advise governments on issues of public policy, is a consultant of several companies and was President of the Circle of Economy (2013-2016).
