The new ARDAN Report includes a gender equality indicator based on a study carried out by ECOBAS researchers
The delegate of the Free Trade Zone Consortium of Vigo, David Regades, announced last Tuesday during the Businesswomen of Galicia Congress, the inclusion in the next ARDAN Report of an indicator on gender equality in companies.
This indicator is the result of a study carried out by ECOBAS researchers, and takes into account three dimensions within each company: the “equality by functions”, the “equality for remuneration” and the “establishment of policies or actions in favor of gender equity”. The report reveals great inequalities in the surveyed entities, being especially striking the gap that reflects the distribution by salary segments, being reduced the representation of women when the remuneration increases, until the 13% among the group of salary higher than € 45,000.
In addition to these equality indicators, another of the novelties of the next ARDAN Report is the incorporation of a study on circular economy, a topic that is gaining more and more prominence, and which has also been carried out by ECOBAS researchers.
