ECOBAS
ECOBAS (Economics and Business Administration for Society) is an Interuniversity Research Center composed of researchers and professors from the three Galician universities. We are specialized in sustainability in a broad sense, which covers not only the economic but also the environmental and social scopes, approached from the field of social science, mainly Economics and Business.
The Center perpetuates the Strategic Grouping of the same name born in 2015, which was the first interuniversity supra-group research unit in social sciences in Galicia until 2020.
ECOBAS
ECOBAS (Economics and Business Administration for Society) é un Centro de Investigación Interuniversitario integrado por persoal investigador e docente das tres universidades galegas, e especializado no estudo da sustentabilidade nun senso amplo, é dicir, tanto económica, coma ambiental e social, e o facemos dende o eido das ciencias sociais, principalmente a Economía e a Empresa.
O Centro da continuidade á Agrupación Estratéxica do mesmo nome, nacida no ano 2015, e que foi a primeira unidade de investigación supragrupal en ciencias sociais e a única interuniversitaria en Galicia ata o ano 2020.
ECOBAS Interuniversity Research Center intends to achieve three ambitious goals:
To become a backbone center for R+D+i in the Galician research system, particularly in the field of social sciences, through a scientific agenda focused on economic, environmental and social sustainability and aligned with the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) and the main regional, national and European agendas, in addition to being firmly connected with the needs and priorities of its environment.
To become a driving force for change in economic development, life quality, and welfare by generating knowledge to help solve the problems of society. Our history of collaboration and work with a broad variety of actors and social agents is our best guarantee.
To create an attractive, collaborative, and highly international research environment that will enable us to consolidate and attract talent, besides playing a relevant role in the training and qualification of new researchers in Economics, Business, and related fields.
Converterse nun centro vertebrador da I+D+i no sistema galego de Investigación particularmente no ámbito das ciencias sociais, a través dunha axenda científica enfocada na sustentabilidade económica, ambiental e social, e aliñada con ODS (Obxectivos do Desenvolvemento Sostible) e coas principais axendas rexionais, nacionais e europeas, e fortemente conectada coas necesidades e prioridades da contorna.
Converterse nun motor de cambio para o desenvolvemento económico, a calidade de vida e o benestar, mediante a xeración de coñecemento que axude a resolver os problemas da sociedade. A nosa traxectoria de colaboración e traballo cunha ampla variedade de actores e axentes sociais son a nosa mellor garantía.
